Founded in 1915, Pearl City is the oldest neighborhood in Boca Raton. Black families from Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina moved into the area to buy plots of land, and many of their descendants still live there to this day. Now, Boca Raton Museum of Art is hosting a Black Pearls exhibit to celebrate these residents and tell their stories.
